Four Months Old

Kaylin is four months old today! Colin and I have been so busy and involved with Kaylin these last four months that the time has just flown. Kaylin has very quickly become the absolute focus and the light of our lives. It's hard for me to remember what life was like before we had her. We have been utterly mesmerized watching Kaylin grow and develop. It seems like she gets bigger and she learns new things almost daily.

At four months old, Kaylin is a very happy and content baby. Sometimes, she even laughs while she is sleeping. She sleeps through the night, and wakes up smiling. She can sit with a little assistance. She can stand while holding your hands. She tries to hold her bottle for herself, and occasionally she can for a moment or two. She is really starting to have fun with her toys! She coos, squeals, and says all kinds of adorable “baby” words. She reaches out to be held. She can roll from front to back and from back to front. She loves television and sometimes gets mad if I am trying to feed her and her bottle is blocking her view of the TV. She particularly likes her Baby Einstein videos, but she’ll watch anything. She also loves trees. Sometimes, if she is fussy in the car and we drive through the woods, she calms down to look at the trees. When I take her for a walk in her stroller, she never misses and opportunity to look up as we pass under a tree. Kaylin has both Colin and I, but especially Colin, wrapped around her little finger.
