Today, Kaylin and I went with our friends Jennifer and Ella to Herr's Zoo Day at the Herr's Factory in Nottingham, PA. We went on a tour of the factory to see how potato chips are made (Kaylin thought the chips were cookies, and kept yelling for cookies throughout the whole tour.), ate a picnic lunch, and spent lots of time at the petting zoo that Herr's had set up! By far, the petting zoo was the highlight of the day for Kaylin and me. Kaylin was in absolute heaven darting from animal pen to pen to pet and feed all the miniature animals, and I had the best time seeing how much she was enjoying herself!
Loving on a Llama!
The perfect size! The goats were only a little over a foot tall!
Dora the Llama! As big as she looks, she was still quite petite for a llama.
Kaylin's favorite animals at the petting zoo were actually the chicks, although she thought they were ducks. She went back to them again and again.
Feeding Dora
One of the only animals at the petting zoo that wasn't miniature -- a huge twenty pound rabbit!
Most of the children were at least twice as old and much bigger than Kaylin, but she had no qualms about wiggling right in to get a better view of the animals. Although, Kaylin is quick to point out other babies, I don't think she thinks of herself as a baby.
Finishing off a great afternoon with some Ring Around the Rosie with Ella

Wow! She really has no fear of animals. It's so fun to look at these pictures, Shannon. Thanks for sharing them!
