Kaylin did not sleep at all her first night. Shortly after my parents and sister left, Kaylin began to wail. She cried all night long. Colin and I were so exhausted and frustrated. We felt so bad for Kaylin, but we didn't know what was wrong or what to do for her. It was a very rough night for all three of us.
A new nurse came on in the morning and explained to us that Kaylin probably had a headache, which seemed very likely since her head was a little deformed and she had a big bruise on the back of it from being born. The nurse got a pediatrician for Kaylin who gave her some Baby Tylenol. Shortly after, Kaylin settled down and fell asleep. The quiet was such a relief, but I was still so happy, excited, wound up, and overtired that I couldn’t get to sleep.

Before the Crying Started (Above & Below)
The look of exhaustion, joy, and relief all rolled into one.
Around 10AM after she finally fell asleep (above and below).
Look at her sleep! Isn't she an absolute doll baby?
